I have a bit of a love hate relationship with September. I’m definitely more of a summer girl, although with that being said, I am partial to the 4 week winter period that arrives on December 1st and ends on January 1st!
So the arrival of September marks the coming of Autumn, which I naturally recoil from. The colder darker months and me are a bit like oil and water; we don’t mix. However I can be persuaded to give September a fair hearing, with the promise of delights such as the possibility of an Indian Summer and the certainty of the shops being filled with cashmere and new lines for the season ahead.
I thought I’d do something a little different this week and share with you all my September Luxe list. Instead of focusing on the bad things about Autumn, like darker nights and even darker mornings, I’m choosing to focus on the positives, like a new Boden catalogue! and cashmere ponchos from the White Company. You see, as a good friend of mine would say, “every cloud has a silver lining”.
So here is what I am lusting after this September. A little peek at what I am coveting. Some things will be acquired in the fullness of time, and others will remain just a dream. I do enjoy daydreaming about specific items. Currently I am spending an inordinate amount of time lusting after a Dolce and Gabbana dress, inventing various scenarios as to how owning said dress would change my entire life. It’s a great past time, I highly recommend it.

So what about these little Boden beauties! I’ve always had a bit of a thing for Boden. I just love the colours, fabrics and the cut of their clothing. It’s funny but I can always tell when someone is wearing Boden. It is distinct and the quality stands out from the rest.

Now with the evenings drawing in and the temperatures dropping we are going to need a little something to keep our shoulders warm. I’m loving these coats from Boden, particularly because of the colour. I’m seeing a lot of dark colours already but I feel that we don’t have to give up colour in the colder months,there’s no law against colour that I’m aware of! In fact it’s quite a welcome sight to see something bright and cheerful. Just look at these candy floss pinks…

So there it is my September luxe list. A comprehensive round up of the few fashion items that may just make Autumn and the threat of winter tolerable. But only just!
